Leadership is recognizing that other people’s thoughts and ideas, as well as your own, should be heard and listened to. Leading by example and creating a safe and comfortable environment is essential to creating a strong leadership team. The CLL has taught me many things, one being that in order to fully be present and an active participant in leadership, you also need to be willing to learn and grow from those around you. You can’t let your preconceived ideas affect how you can learn from new experiences.
