Born and raised in Chico, CA, Cecily earned her BA in Multicultural and Gender Studies from CSU, Chico and Masters in Postsecondary Educational Leadership from San Diego State. She currently serves as the Director of the Women's Resources and Research Center at UC Davis. Black feminist theory and womanism drew her to this work, along with her experiences navigating higher ed as a black/biracial queer womxn and student parent. As a leader, she strives to create a space that allows us all to be our authentic selves. She enjoys reading sci fi, doing yoga, and learning about astrology.
