A leader challenges others without undermining someone’s opinion even if it differs from their own. Having leadership skills is being able to recognize that there are different viewpoints and backgrounds among people. Having leadership skills is also being able to stand back and assess a situation before reacting to it. A leader doesn’t always have to go first. A leader can be a “follower”. A leader doesn’t have to consider themselves leaders. Leadership is a range of thoughts, actions, words, and a whole lot of things that anyone can possess and keep on building. Leadership serves the purpose to bring positive change among communities and lead to the growth of one’s self.
