In my opinion, "leader" and "leadership" have always been intimidating words. They hold immense power and anyone associated with them is automatically held to very high expectations. Because of that, I was always apprehensive about considering myself a leader despite having had several leadership roles before. It wasn't until I began working at the CLL that I began to realize that these words weren't so intimidating after all, that I had many of the skills that a good leader should possess already, and that even though there were many times I didn't see myself as a leader, there were other folks who did and appreciated my skill set. This realization has helped me develop even further as a leader, but more importantly, develop as a well-rounded person.
