I used to be an individual who once thought of leadership as an innate title; something intangible to someone such as myself. I soon came to realize how dynamic and complex the concept of leadership really was. Leadership is not power nor an assignment. Leadership is like walking on uneven pavement that has its periods of smooth walking, occasional trips, or unexpected falls, but regardless, you get back up even if your legs are shaking. Leadership is having the willingness to understand diverse perspectives even if it's against one's own views, motivating strangers or friends to become better individuals, and being courageous in making risky decisions to ultimately reach the end goal of making genuine and positive change. It is bittersweet, but humbling.
