Student Employment Certification Program (SECP)

The Student Employment Certification Register for the SLDS onlineProgram’s goal is to improve a specific skill set in prospective and current student employees. Created from the results of a survey of campus employers, this program focuses on their recommendations for areas in need of improvement: professional etiquette, teamwork, communication, and diversity. Completion of this certificate shows that you take initiative to improve yourself and you are serious about doing well in your campus job—start working towards your certificate today!

Requirements

To complete the certificate, you must attend and participate in one seminar for each category:

  • Professional Etiquette
  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Diversity

All of the SECP seminars count toward the SLDS certificate too! Thus, by the time you complete your SECP Certificate, you would be halfway done with your SDLS certificate.

To Request a Certificate

If you have completed the requirements, you can request a Student Employment Certificate by sending an email with your Student ID number. Please allow 4—6 weeks to process your request.
